As is generally the case with all things Justin Bieber– and/or Instagirl-related, the internet was abuzz on Sunday and Monday with rumors that 24-year-old Bieber and his on-again, off-again girlfriend of several years — that’s 21-year-old Hailey Baldwin — got engaged on a whirlwind romantic getaway to the Bahamas over the weekend. Turns out, the pop star and the IMG model are indeed set to tie the knot, as Bieber confirmed the news Monday evening via (what else?) Instagram.
“[L]isten plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you!” he wrote in a post, barely able to contain his excitement. He continued: “So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY. I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make. My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first! You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better and we compliment eachother so well!! Can’t wait for the best season of life yet!. It’s funny because now with you everything seems to make sense! [sic]”
While the couple is clearly blissed out following their engagement, there are lots of questions on their fans’ (and the fashion industry’s) minds: Will they wed at Hillsong Church, their usual place of worship, with the blessing of a pastor in Supreme? Will Fear of God designer (and Bieber/Baldwin favorite) Jerry Lorenzo branch out into wedding wear? Which of Baldwin’s fellow Instagirls will make up the bridal party? We’ll be watching all of this closely — along with the duo’s combined millions of followers.
